No More WAITING To Exhale

THIS HAS BEEN SUCH A TRYING WEEK!

My son ALMOST completed summer school.

My daughter had dance practice every day to prepare for her dance recital.

I had a doctor’s appointment that I couldn’t reschedule.

Of all my coworkers, my workload was the heaviest.

My 1-year old decided sleep wasn’t his best friend in the wee hours of the night.

I would say I WANTED to cry each day, but the reality is that I DID cry… EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.

At one point, it felt like bricks were hiding beneath my eye lids. Even still, I hadn’t cried enough. God, I must have been so full.

By midweek, I decided it was time to place everything to the side and (say it with me)…JUST BREATHE. I decided that if it wasn’t in the well being of my kids, it just couldn’t make the cut. I was able to catch a little sleep whenever I was still. I was able to do some light reading. Instead of stressing about what I would cook, we ate out almost every day this week. I was able to exhale.

I made it! I made it through this trying week, and you can do the same. Sometimes we just need to take a step back and breathe.
